If you’re looking for something exciting to do on a fall weekend, look no further than Smorgasburg NYC. The largest open air-food market in America boasts food from more than 100 local vendors and will completely blow you away. Located close by in Brooklyn, I’ve had the pleasure of going a few times over the past couple of years and these vendors bring their absolute A game. My biggest problem with Smorgasburg is that I don’t know where to start and literally want to sample everything from every vendor. The best catch is that there is no admittance fee- you just buy what you want to eat!
In the past, I’ve been absolutely amazed by the chipwich from The Good Batch, Ramen Burger’s signature burger (yes, this is a burger that substitutes ramen buns for traditional ones), Georgia peaches from The Peach Truck, chicken parm sliders from Sunday Gravy, and jerk chicken from Excell’s Kingdom Eatery. But take our word for it, everything at Smorgasburg is probably amazing and worthy of a try. Smorgasburg makes for a great day trip if you enjoy unbelievable food and the location makes the experience even better. On Saturdays the event is held on the Williamsburg Waterfront and on Sundays it is held at scenic Prospect Park. But you’re gonna have to hurry, as Smorgasburg is only running through October 22nd in Prospect Park and October 28th in Williamsburg.
